Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon minced black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce

Extra

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar

For honey BBQ

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple or white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon molasses or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • sprinkle salt
  • sprinkle dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and rinse the chicken wings. If you wish, separate drumettes, flats (wingettes), and tips. Localize the joints and cut with a sharp knife.
  • Combine in a large bowl, garlic, black pepper, salt, and vinegar. Then, transfer the chicken wings into it. Coat the wings and marinate them with the mix.
  • To super crunchy texture, coat them with flour.
  • After that, spray oil over the chicken wings. Spritz the basket or tray lightly with oil as well.
  • Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket spacing in a single layer at 400ºF (204ºC) for 20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through cooking.
  • To get extra crispy skin, cook for 5 minutes longer. Once the skin turns brown and golden, stop the cooking process.
  • Serve immediately with tongs and cover with honey BBQ sauce. Enjoy!

For BBQ sauce

  • Place honey, ketchup, vinegar and molasses, into a saucepan.
  • Stir all ingredients together and fry on medium heat.
  • Then, add the rest of the ingredients. Put the heat down and simmer until thick for 20 minutes.
  • Cool and serve with your chicken wings.
