Equipment

  • Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 kg raw chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or non-stick cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 3 minced garlic cloves or garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon English sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Maggi sauce (optional)

For hot sauce (buffalo style)

  • 1/2 cup Hooters wing sauce medium or Frank's RedHot buffalo wings sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Rinse very well the fresh chicken wings. If you wish separate drumette, flats (wingettes), and tips.
  • Combine in a large bowl salt, garlic, black pepper, vinegar and English and Maggi sauce (two optional ingredients).
  • Toss the wings in the seasoning mixture, coating them evenly. Spray them with olive oil.
  • Transfer the seasoned chicken wings to the air fryer basket, and arrange them in a single layer, leaving spaces between them. Adjust the temperature at 400ºF (204ºC) and fry for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make the hot sauce by blending Frank's RedHot buffalo wings sauce with melted butter.
  • Once the fried chicken wings have been cooking for 10 minutes, carefully remove them from the air fryer. Then, pour the hot sauce all over them.
  • With tongs, return them to the air fryer and cook for 10 more minutes at 400ºF. After the time is up, retire them and plate.
  • For your blue cheese sauce: In a separate container, combine sour cream, blue cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Serve the sticky and crispy hot chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and celery sticks. Enjoy!
