Ingredients

  • 1 raw fresh fish
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour

Instructions

  • Combine ground black pepper, minced garlic and salt. Then, season the fish with the mixture of flavors.
  • Next, cut the fish sticks/fingers carefully, trying to get them all the same size.
  • Coat the fish sticks/fingers with flour, shaking off the excess.
  • For battered fish, stir eggs in a small bowl, then dip fish sticks in it.
  • Meanwhile, preheat the air fryer at 400ºF (204ºC) for around 5 minutes.
  • After you have finished battering all fish sticks, spray oil into the air fryer basket. Be sure to spread oil generously over all fish fingers as well. Do this quickly, before the batter starts to drop off.
  • Cook them at 400ºF/204ºC for 5 minutes, flip them, and cook for 5 more minutes. Check until golden brown.
  • Serve your homemade fish sticks with lemon slices, tomatoes and onion slices, and enjoy!
