These Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Thighs are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with zesty lemon and pepper flavors. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a tasty meal prep option.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
- Lemon wedges and parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the Air Fryer
Set your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.
Season the Chicken
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix the lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken thighs and rub the seasoning mixture all over them, ensuring even coverage.
Arrange the Chicken in the Air Fryer
Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin-side up. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket so that the air can circulate and the chicken cooks evenly.
Cook the Chicken
Air fry the chicken thighs at 380°F for 20-25 minutes. Halfway through cooking (around the 10-minute mark), flip the thighs to ensure they cook evenly on both sides. The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Add Lemon Juice
Once cooked, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken thighs for extra brightness and flavor.
Serve and Garnish
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with lemon wedges and chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
