Air fryer turkey burgers are a lighter, juicier alternative to the classic beef burger. With a crisp exterior and tender interior, these burgers are quick to make and perfect for a healthy weeknight meal. Seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices, they’re packed with flavor and cook to perfection in just a fraction of the time.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat while you prepare the burgers.
Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until everything is well incorporated, but avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.
Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
Prepare Air Fryer Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Cook Patties: Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they’re not touching. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown.
Rest and Serve: Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
Suggestions: Pair with a fresh salad or sweet potato fries for a complete meal. Enjoy with a light and refreshing beverage like iced tea or sparkling water.
