Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Prepare the meatball mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
Shape the meatballs:
Using your hands or a scoop, form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs. This should make about 12 meatballs.
Preheat the air fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Cook the meatballs:
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the meatballs in a single layer in the basket, making sure they don’t touch. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F).
Add sauce and cheese:
Once the meatballs are cooked, top each meatball with a spoonful of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella.
Melt the cheese:
Return the meatballs to the air fryer and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Remove from the air fryer and serve warm, either over pasta, in a sub sandwich, or on their own!
Enjoy your easy, crispy Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Meatballs!
