This quick and colorful dish is a perfect side or topping for tacos, fajitas, sandwiches, or salads. With the magic of the air fryer, the peppers and onions turn out tender, slightly caramelized, and full of flavor—all in under 15 minutes!
Ingredients
- 2 large bell peppers (any color), sliced
- 1 medium red onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the sliced peppers and onions. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
Step 3: Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper over the vegetables. Toss until well-seasoned.
Step 4: Spread the peppers and onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
Step 5: Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
Step 6: Serve warm as a side dish or use as a topping for tacos, fajitas, or sandwiches. Enjoy!
Tip: Add red pepper flakes or a squeeze of lime for extra zest!
