Air Fryer Asian Salmon Bites

Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: air fryer
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g skinless salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • ½ tsp sriracha optional
  • 1 tbsp green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Marinade

  • In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sriracha (if using). Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as needed.

Step 2: Coat the Salmon

  • Add the salmon cubes to the marinade and gently toss until evenly coated. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to absorb the flavors—don’t marinate too long or the salmon may become mushy.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 3 minutes. This ensures even cooking and a crispy exterior.

Step 4: Cook the Salmon Bites

  • Place the salmon pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they aren’t touching. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until the salmon is crispy on the outside and tender inside.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer the salmon bites to a plate, drizzle with any remaining glaze, and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately with rice or a side of veggies.
