Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each, skin-on
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and olive oil until well combined. This will be your sticky, flavorful glaze.

Step 2: Season the Salmon

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and lightly season both sides with salt and pepper. This helps the glaze adhere better and draws out moisture for perfect cooking.

Step 3: Glaze the Salmon

  • Brush or spoon the glaze generously over each fillet, making sure to coat the tops and sides. Let the salmon sit for about 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Step 4: Air Fry

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease the basket to prevent sticking. Place the salmon skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 7–9 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The glaze should be bubbling and slightly caramelized.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  • Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately. It pairs beautifully with steamed veggies, rice, or a light salad.
