Air Fryer Old Bay Salmon

Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: air fryer
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets about 6 oz each, skin on
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice plus more for serving
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Your Air Fryer

  • Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 to 5 minutes. This ensures the salmon starts cooking immediately and helps it get that crispy edge.

Step 2: Prepare the Salmon

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the oil and seasoning stick better. Place them on a plate or tray and drizzle both sides with olive oil.

Step 3: Season Generously

  • Sprinkle the Old Bay seasoning evenly over both sides of the fillets. If using, add garlic powder too. Rub the seasoning in gently so it’s well coated.

Step 4: Air Fry to Perfection

  • Place the fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on thickness. The salmon should flake easily with a fork and be opaque in the center.

Step 5: Finish and Serve

  • Remove the salmon and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley if using. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
