Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon Bites

Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: air fryer
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds optional
  • 1 stalk green onion thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Salmon

  • Start by patting your salmon cubes dry with a paper towel. This helps the marinade stick and ensures the salmon gets that golden crust in the air fryer.

Step 2: Marinate

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the salmon cubes with teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and olive oil. Toss gently to coat every piece. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes while you preheat your air fryer.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 3–5 minutes. Preheating ensures even cooking and helps the salmon sear properly.

Step 4: Cook the Salmon

  • Arrange the marinated salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t overcrowd—cook in batches if needed. Air fry for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The salmon should be golden on the outside and flaky inside.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer the salmon bites to a serving plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if using. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or as a delicious appetizer.
