Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
  • 2 tbsp Jamaican jerk seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar optional, for a touch of sweetness
  • 1 lime cut into wedges

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the wings

  • Pat your chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is the key to maximum crispiness—any extra moisture will steam the wings instead of crisping them.

Step 2: Season generously

  • Place the wings in a large bowl. Add olive oil, jerk seasoning, and brown sugar (if using). Toss until every wing is coated evenly. Your kitchen will already smell incredible at this point.

Step 3: Preheat and arrange

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the basket, leaving a little space between each one for proper air circulation. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Step 4: Air fry to perfection

  • Cook the wings for 18–20 minutes, flipping them halfway through. The skin should be golden and crispy, and the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

Step 5: Serve and enjoy

  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the wings before serving. They’re fantastic on their own or with a creamy dipping sauce to cool down the heat.
