Crispy Air Fryer Thin-Sliced Chicken Breast

Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced (about ½-inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps the seasoning adhere better and ensures a crispier finish. If your chicken isn’t pre-sliced, carefully cut it into even ½-inch-thick pieces.

Step 2: Season the Chicken

  • In a bowl, drizzle the chicken with olive oil, then sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat every piece evenly. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat up for 3–5 minutes. Preheating ensures even cooking and better browning.

Step 4: Cook in Batches

  • Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces for proper air circulation. Avoid overcrowding—cook in batches if needed. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 5: Rest and Serve

  • Let the chicken rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing or serving. This keeps the juices locked in. Enjoy as a main dish, in wraps, or over salads!
