Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium red onion sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 ½ tbsp fajita seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 lime juiced

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the chicken and vegetables

  • Slice the chicken breasts into even strips so they cook at the same rate. Cut the bell peppers and onion into thin slices for that classic fajita look and texture.

Step 2: Season generously

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the chicken, peppers, and onion. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle over the fajita seasoning. Toss well to coat everything evenly — every piece should be glossy and coated with spice.

Step 3: Arrange in the air fryer

  • Place the seasoned mixture in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s okay if there’s a little overlap, but don’t overcrowd to ensure even cooking.

Step 4: Cook to perfection

  • Set the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and cook for 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The chicken should be cooked through and slightly charred at the edges.

Step 5: Add the finishing touch

  • Once cooked, squeeze fresh lime juice over the chicken and veggies. Give everything a gentle toss to coat with that zesty brightness before serving.
