How to make fresh waffle fries in the air fryer?

Make your own homemade waffle fries and enjoy them with your family. It may appear difficult to make, but the key is to use a waffle food slicer, so it turns out to be a simple process. Here’s an optional recipe, which can be made with different flavors, such as cheesy, spicy or sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh russet potatoes, but you can use sweet potato or Yukon gold.
  • 2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 paprika
  • 2 tablespoon avocado oil or spray cooking

Directions:

  1. Wash and rinse the potatoes thoroughly, then peel them.
  2. Slice into waffles using a waffle cutter mandolin. A slice’s size depends on how big the potato is.
  3. Once each cut is made, place them in a bowl filled with water.
  4. After that, combine all spices, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Remove the potato slices from the water and season them with spices.
  6. Drizzle olive oil on them and place them in the air fryer basket/rack. Make sure they’re spread out in one layer.
  7. Cook at 400ºF (204ºC) for 10 minutes, flipping them halfway. To get crisper fries, fry for a further 2 – 4 minutes. When they turn golden, stop the cooking process.
