    Used this recipe for a starting point and loved the final product. Cooked as instructed above. Then continued using the instructions on the back of the Johnsonville brats package…

    “Place a skillet on the stove and heat to medium-low. Carefully add ½ cup water (I used chicken broth) to skillet. Transfer the brats from air fryer to skillet. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes or until sausage internal temperature reaches 160°F.”

    Brats came out hot and juicy!

    NOTE: I have a Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven, so the cooking process is a little different. Brats were placed in the basket and the tray put on the upper level of the oven. Cooking time may be a few minutes longer depending on your preference for browning.
